2024年、国際福祉交流プログラム、再始動！
2019年には、米国からの交流者の訪日が予定されていましたが、諸事情により中止に。その後は世界的なコロナ禍の影響で、長らく渡航が困難な状況が続きました。さらに、オハイオ支部ではメンバーの高齢化により、
2022年に国際福祉交流プログラム・オハイオ組織の解散が決定されました。
オハイオ訪問から再始動へ
こうした状況のなか、2023年には当会を代表して和田・堀・板谷の3名がオハイオ州を訪問。
アセンズ市の保健所やオハイオ大学関係者に直接協力を呼びかけた結果、プログラムの趣旨に賛同してくださった多くの方々のご尽力により、米国側に正式な組織がない中での交流再開が実現しました。
派遣メンバーについて
再開にあたっては、当会としても意義深い機会ととらえ、派遣メンバーを慎重に選定しました。
